Magnolia Mystery Quilt

I switched gears today, and starting working on the full and partial blocks for the Magnolia Mystery Quilt designed by Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs that I started this summer.  A link to that QAL is on the side.  I was able to get all of the blocks put together, and got the rest of the pieces ready to go.
There are fewer blocks and pieces than the Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt, and this one will have a more modern vibe to it - lots of negative space to do something with.  I am noticing that I am much more precise with my cutting and piecing now, and realize that these blocks could have been better, but I think they will look fine.  I am very happy with the color choices I made.
I can envision a really cute baby quilt made from the full blocks.
I think this piece, which will have white setting triangles, goes sideways in the middle of the lap quilt.  I am hoping that I'll get the whole top together sometime this weekend.
I love seeing the progress of others on Facebook or other blog posts.  There are many quilters in this QAL who have changed around the settings, and those look very nice, but I think I'll just make the quilt as the pattern was written to see how that looks.  It seems that it will be a long cold winter, so another lap quilt is perfect!
I have managed to do another post in the 31 day challenge.  I am now at 13 of 14, which isn't too bad!

Take care,
Gretchen
