Magnolia Mystery Quilt Top Finished!

I finally got the quilt top for the Magnolia Mystery Quilt finished.  I didn't tinker with the layout or border, and am quite happy with the result.   The Quilt Along has a February deadline - so before then (but not until after the holidays) I will start figuring out how to quilt this, especially the broad swaths of negative space.  White thread, yellow thread, turquoise, all three?  Lots of possibilities to consider.   I think this has a clean, modern feel to it, and I plan to keep that feel with the quilting.    Stay tuned.
I also went to the holiday party for one of my quilt guilds, which also involved the receipt of a Secret Santa hand crafted gift.  Lucky me, I received this beautiful bag crafted by Pam Wilde.  Beautiful fabrics, beautiful piecing and quilting, and it was full of little sewing goodies.   I think it is the perfect size to be a traveling bag (or next to the couch bag) for my never-ending hexie project, and will hold my little light, too.  I can't wait to get it all packed up.

Look at the little charm detail on the zipper.  So nice!
On to holiday decorating- then maybe I'll tackle the 'On Ringo Lake' Clue #4!

Take care,
Gretchen
