'On Ringo Lake' - the perils of rushing

        These flying geese are the units from Clue #2 of the 'On Ringo Lake' Mystery Quilt.  I like how these turned out; I just need to make many MANY MANY more!    We got our first big snow today, so I was hoping maybe I could get them all done before Clue #3 hits tomorrow.  

         I was on a roll until I checked the last goose I was working on.  I have no idea what happened here!   Did I trim on the wrong side of the stitching?  Was the yellow piece too small?  All I knew was that it was time to put down the rotary cutter, step away from the sewing machine, and take a break!  

      Perhaps I'll feel revived to keep going after writing this post (Day 7!) , or perhaps I'll just pour a glass of wine and watch the snow fall!
