Good intentions - Day 10

Through the window.

I live outside of Buffalo, New York, in an area known to be in the snowbelt.  Remember when part of Buffalo got hit with 7 feet of snow a few years back?  Right on top of my house!  Today was another snowbelt day, although not so dramatic, but lots of snow.
Today's landscape!
I actually drove to Joann Fabrics to use a coupon on some Kona White to complete my Magnolia Mystery Quilt, and then decided to cut some of the Clue #3 pieces while watching the Bills game against the Colts.  I am not sure how many more pieces we will be cutting, so I am trying hard not to use up all my fabrics on this Clue.  To keep track, I am marking how many pieces I have cut so I end up with the right number.
I think Clover Clips are the most useful quilting gadget ever!
There is a danger to cutting fabric while watching a game if you are a Bills fan. The piece near the top is cut at the correct width.  The piece below was cut just as the Bills were about to score.  Oops!
I was able to use the smaller piece in a different way, but I put down my rotary cutter for the day, and picked up a glass of wine.
Cheers to the Bills' win and to completing my 10th consecutive blog entry!

Take care,
Gretchen

  1. Congrats on your 10th consecutive blog entry! We seem to have a lot in common. I also went to Joann's to use my 60% off coupon on Kona white recently and I was also using little post-its to keep track of how many I was cutting. But my mistake was that I wasn't totaling up the post-its until my piles were really growing. I am in Massachusetts and we had snow too but not as much as you did. Have fun with the mystery.

  2. I love your different yellows -- such great variety! I usually can't cut while something excited is on TV -- I usually iron during our Steelers games. :)

  3. Nice to be snowed in so you have a reason to quilt.😁
