A Quilt for Karen

Earlier this year, I tackled (and blogged about)  a mystery quilt.   I had no plans on what to do with the finished top, until one of my dear cousins had foot surgery.  I thought it would be the perfect little lap quilt to help her recover.   I  pieced together the back from my stash, and then thought about the quilting.  I happened upon a blog tutorial for a paisley quilting pattern, which was lovely and easy.  I ended up quilting fairly large paisleys, in order to get the quilt done.       I used some white and black fabrics for the binding, and am now very happy with the finished product, and will be glad to ship it to my cousin!  Get well soon, Karen!

I have two more tops ready to pin and quilt, and then as soon as the weather turns, I intend to tackle my fabric stash and get it organized, and ready to use in quilts!    I am linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts' Finish it up Friday.   Have a great weekend!

Take care,
Gretchen
